All deposit methods accepted on Splash Sports, cash advance and AVS fees explained, state deposit limits, and how to set your own limits.

Updated yesterday

Splash Sports accepts several deposit methods. Here's the full list, what to know about fees, and answers to the most common deposit questions.

Accepted Deposit Methods

  • Debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover)

  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) — see cash advance note below

  • ACH / Bank account — via Aeropay

  • PayPal

  • Venmo

  • Apple Pay

  • Cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, USDC, SOL, XRP, and more) — web and desktop only, not available in Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, or New Jersey

Prepaid cards are not supported.

Splash does not charge any fees for deposits — all funds go directly into your account.

Credit Cards: Cash Advance Fees

Splash does not charge cash advance fees. However, some banks and card issuers classify deposits to gaming platforms as a cash advance rather than a standard purchase, and automatically apply their own fee. This is controlled entirely by your card issuer — Splash cannot prevent or refund it.

To avoid this, deposit using a debit card, PayPal, Venmo, or ACH instead. If you've already been charged, contact your bank directly — they may be able to waive it. Not all issuers classify Splash deposits as cash advances.

AVS Errors (Address Verification Failed)

An AVS error means the billing address you entered doesn't match what your bank has on file. To fix it: double-check your billing address including apartment number and zip code, or contact your bank to confirm the address associated with your card. If the error persists, try PayPal, Venmo, or ACH — these don't require address verification.

Common causes: recently moved, typo in address, prepaid card, or international card.

State Deposit Limits

Some states have legal monthly deposit limits:

  • Maryland: $5,000/month

  • Tennessee: $2,500/month

  • Massachusetts: $1,000/month

Setting Your Own Deposit Limits

You can set your own weekly or monthly deposit limits via Responsible Gaming settings:

  1. Click your display nameMy Splash Account

  2. Open Responsible Gaming

  3. Choose the limit type, time period, and amount

Limits can be adjusted after one month has passed since the last change. Monthly limits reset at the start of each calendar month; weekly limits reset on Mondays.

Crypto Deposits

Crypto is available on Splash web and desktop — not the mobile app. The maximum per-transaction limit is $50,000 with no daily cap. Crypto withdrawals are not supported — if you deposit via crypto, you'll withdraw through your other linked payment methods.
