Why Am I Being Asked to Verify My Identity?

Explains why Splash Sports requires identity verification (KYC) before deposits, withdrawals, and real-money contests.

Updated over a week ago

Before you can deposit, withdraw, or enter a real-money contest, Splash Sports requires identity verification โ€” also known as KYC (Know Your Customer). This is a legal requirement for all licensed gaming platforms, not something specific to Splash.

What We Collect

  • Full name

  • Date of birth

  • Home address

This confirms you meet the minimum age requirement in your state, that you're located in an eligible jurisdiction, and that your account is protected from fraud.

When Is Verification Required?

  • Making your first deposit

  • Withdrawing funds

  • Entering a real-money (Splash-managed) contest

Not required for entertainment-only (self-managed) contests.

How to Complete Verification

You'll be prompted automatically when you try to deposit or join a real-money contest. You can also start anytime at app.splashsports.com/user-verification.
