If you're trying to join the World Cup Survivor contest and hitting a wall, one of the reasons below is likely the cause. Here's how to identify the issue and what to do about it.
The Entry Deadline Has Passed
The most common reason. Entry for the World Cup Survivor closes at the kickoff of the first Group Stage match — June 11, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET. After that time, no new entries are accepted and the join button will no longer be available.
If you missed the Group Stage + Knockout Stage template, the Knockout Stage Only template has later entry deadline options — check with your commissioner or look for a separate contest on the platform.
You're in a Restricted State or Location
The Splash-Managed World Cup Survivor is a real-money contest. Real-money contests on Splash Sports are only available in states and jurisdictions where daily fantasy sports (DFS) are legal.
If you are physically located in a restricted state, you will not be able to enter.
If you live in a legal state but are temporarily traveling in a restricted one, you'll need to wait until you're back in a legal state.
Using a VPN or location-masking tool can also trigger a geo restriction — disable any VPN and try again.
For entertainment-only (self-managed) World Cup pools, geo restrictions do not apply.
Your Account Has Been Disabled or Restricted
If you see the message "User has been disabled" or cannot log in, your account may have been restricted. See Account Restrictions, Suspensions, and Closures for what to do.
Your Account Isn't Verified
Real-money contests require identity verification (KYC) to be completed before you can enter. If your account isn't verified yet, you'll be prompted to complete the process.

The Contest Is Full
Some contests have a maximum entry cap. If the contest you're trying to join is at capacity, entry will be closed. Check the contest page for details — if it's a commissioner-run contest, reach out to the commissioner directly to ask if there's still room or if a new contest can be created.
