Why Am I Seeing My Contest on Entertainment Only If I Ran on Splash Last Year?

If your contest is now appearing on Entertainment Only, it means the current version of your contest was created as self-managed during setup.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Self-managed contests are hosted on the Entertainment Only platform and will continue to operate there going forward.

Why This Happens

When creating a contest, you choose how it will be managed:

  • Self-Managed → Hosted on Entertainment Only

  • Splash-Managed → Hosted on Splash

If “self-managed” was selected during creation, the contest will automatically be created on Entertainment Only — even if you previously ran the contest on Splash.

Each season’s contest setup is independent, so the management type must be selected correctly at creation.

Important to Know

  • Self-managed contests remain on Entertainment Only

  • They will not transfer to Splash automatically

  • Platform placement is determined at the time of creation

If you intended to run a Splash-managed contest instead, you may need to create a new contest with the correct management type selected.

If you’re unsure which setup is right for you, Support is happy to help review your configuration.
