What if my address doesn't match the address on my ID?

How to resolve the mismatch — two options depending on whether your ID is current or outdated.

Splash is required to verify that the address on your account matches your government-issued ID. A mismatch is flagged when:

  • The address on your Splash account doesn't match the address on your ID

  • You've recently moved but your ID still shows your old address

  • You used an abbreviated format that doesn't match exactly (e.g., "St." vs "Street", or missing apartment number)

  • Your ID shows a PO Box or old address that differs from what you entered on Splash

How to Fix It

Option 1 — Update your Splash address to match your ID
Email support@splashsports.com and we'll update your address on file. You may be asked to upload a copy of your ID to confirm. This is the fastest fix if your ID is current.

Option 2 — Provide Proof of Residence for your current address
If your ID has an old address (e.g., you've recently moved), submit a document showing your current address dated within the past 60 days:

  • Utility bill (electricity, gas, water, internet)

  • Bank or credit card statement

  • Government-issued letter showing your current address

Common Questions

Do I need to update my government ID first? No — a current Proof of Residence document is sufficient. You don't need to wait for a new ID to be issued.

What if my name doesn't appear on my utility bills? Try a bank statement, lease agreement, or utility statement in your name at your current address. Contact support if you're unsure what to submit.
