Step 1: Choose your league
When you tap "Create contest," you'll first pick which league you want to play:
NFL + NCAAF — combine pro and college football into one contest
NFL — pro football only
NCAAF — college football only
If you want the widest set of games each week (Saturday college matchups plus Sunday/Monday pro games), go with NFL + NCAAF. If you just want the pros, pick NFL.
Step 2: Pick a contest type
Once your league is selected, you'll see a list of contest formats, sorted by popularity. Which formats you see depends on which league you picked in Step 1:
NFL + NCAAF: Team Pick'em, Team Survivor
NFL: Team Pick'em, Squares, Shares, Team Survivor
NCAAF: Team Pick'em, Team Survivor
Step 3: Choose your template
After picking a contest type, you'll choose a specific template that matches how you want it scored. For example, if you selected Team Pick'em, you'd choose from templates like:
NFL + NCAAF Pick'em — straight-up picks across both leagues
NFL Pick'em — straight-up picks, NFL only
NFL Confidence Pick'em — rank your picks by confidence, with more points for picks you're more sure about
NFL + NCAAF Confidence Pick'em — confidence scoring across both leagues
Step 4: Customize with "More Details" (optional)
After selecting your template, you can tap More Details to view and adjust its settings before continuing. This is where you can fine-tune things like scoring rules, pool size, and other contest-specific options to fit exactly how your group wants to play.
If you're happy with the default setup, you can skip this and move straight to confirming your contest — the template's built-in settings work fine for most groups.
Step 5: Confirm and continue
Tap your chosen template to select it. You'll see it highlighted, confirming your choice. From here, just continue through the setup — you'll be asked a few more quick questions (like pool size or scoring details) before your contest is ready to share.
