Setting up your NFL Confidence Pick'em Contest: General tab

After choosing NFL Confidence Pick'em or NFL Pick'em as your template, you'll land on the Contest Settings page, starting with the General tab — contest name, schedule, and entry controls.

General settings

  • Contest name — Name your contest so members can easily identify it. Splash auto-generates a default name (e.g. "NFL Team Pickem contest - 2026-07-09") that you can edit.

  • Description — Optional. Add context for your members about the contest (up to 500 characters).

Set your schedule

Define the first and last week of your contest.

  • Start week — Choose the week your contest begins (e.g. Week 1, Sep 7, 2026 – Sep 14, 2026).

  • End week — Choose the week your contest ends (e.g. Week 18, Jan 4, 2027 – Jan 11, 2027).

Since this is an NFL-only contest, weeks are labeled simply by NFL week number — there's no Slate names section here, since there's only one league's schedule to account for (unlike the combined NFL + NCAAF format, which lets you customize how NFL and CFB weeks are labeled together).

Entry controls

Manage how and when members can join, and how many entries they can submit.

  • Maximum entries per entrant — Set how many entries a single member can submit (1–250).

  • Entry deadline — Off by default, meaning entries close automatically at the standard deadline. Turn this on to set a custom date and time for entries to close.

  • Lock entries immediately — Off by default. Stops new members from joining right away, regardless of the entry deadline.

  • Hide Future Picks From Commissioner — On by default. Controls whether the commissioner can see and edit members' future picks.
