Several new settings are coming to CFB Survivor for the 2026 season. Here's what's new and how each one works.
Pick Scoring
Pick Scoring is being added to CFB Survivor for the first time in 2026, with the same options available in NFL Survivor:
Straight Up (Default) — Entrants pick the outright winner of the game.
Against the Spread — Entrants pick teams that cover the spread.
Max Point Spread (CFB Only)
This is an admin-managed setting — it's not something commissioners toggle themselves. If your contest needs this setting, a Splash employee will need to set it up when the contest is created.
When enabled, the picksheet only displays games with a point spread at or below a configured threshold, filtering out heavy mismatches to keep the contest competitive.
How it works:
An admin marks the contest as eligible for Max Point Spread and sets the threshold.
Each week, an admin reviews and submits the approved game list before that week's picksheet opens.
Important: The picksheet is blocked for entrants until that weekly submission is made. If you're supporting a contest with this setting enabled, be aware of this weekly dependency — a delayed submission means a delayed picksheet.
Auto-Declare Last Survivor Winner
This setting controls what happens when every other entry has used up all of their available teams and one or more entries still have teams left to pick.
Off (Default) — The last remaining entry must still make a correct pick to be declared the winner. Running out of teams is treated the same as making an incorrect pick.
On — The last entry (or entries) with teams remaining is automatically declared the winner. No final correct pick is required.
If more than one entry has the same single team remaining once everyone else has been eliminated, those entries are declared co-winners.
This setting is also available in NFL Survivor.
Pick Deadline (Label Update Only)
No functional change — just a clearer label. The option previously called "Game Start" is now labeled "Last Game Time Of Each Week."
The default pick deadline for CFB Survivor remains Saturdays at 12pm ET.
