How it works
Our computer vision identifies players mainly from jersey colour and jersey number, then tracks them through the game. The models keep improving and use additional signals, but colour and number carry most of the work.
What that requires of your uniforms
All players on a team in the same colour.
A unique, clearly visible number per player, high contrast, ideally on front and back.
The same player in the same number all season, where possible.
Where uniforms are inconsistent or numbers are not legible, we cannot produce reliable statistics.
If a player has no number yet
You do not have to wait. Add the player with their full name and email and we will assign a provisional number that can be updated later. The name and email matter because they are what lets the player claim their profile in the app.
Set the real number before the season starts if you can. It is what makes stat and highlight attribution correct from game one. Email customersuccess@sportsvisio.com with any player whose number is still undecided.
If a number changes mid-season
