đ Where to find it: stats appear in the SportsVisio app once a game finishes processing.
We aim for 97% accuracy on tracked stats. In practice that means the box score for a well recorded game is reliable enough to coach from and to share with players and parents, and that you should still expect the occasional error rather than a perfect sheet every time.
Why it is not 100%
Stats are generated by AI from your game video, not typed in by a scorekeeper. The system watches the footage, identifies players, and records what happened. That is what makes same-season, every-game stats affordable at all, and it is also why a small number of events get misread.
The most common errors are attribution rather than invention: a rebound credited to the wrong player on the same team, or a basket assigned to the wrong jersey number when two numbers look similar on camera.
What moves accuracy the most
Recording quality matters more than anything else, and it is the part you control:
Visible jersey numbers. The AI identifies players mainly by number. Faded, obscured or missing numbers are the single biggest cause of misattributed stats.
Distinct uniform colours. Two teams in similar colours is a hard problem for any vision system.
A stable, wide camera position with the whole court in frame. See How the AI identifies players for the detail.
Start recording before tipoff so the teams get identified the right way round.
Games recorded well sit at the top of that range. Games shot from a corner, in poor light, or with unnumbered practice jerseys sit below it.
Found an error? Report it and we will fix it
Corrections are part of how this works, not an admission that something is broken. Report the error from the page where you see it, so it arrives with the game and player already attached. See My stats are wrong, how do I get them fixed?
The more precise you are, the faster it gets corrected. Useful detail: which game, which player and jersey number, which stat, what it should be, and roughly when in the game it happened.
If accuracy is a problem across a whole program
A single wrong rebound is normal. A pattern, for example one teamâs numbers consistently wrong, or the same player mixed up every game, usually points at something fixable in the recording setup or the roster. Email customersuccess@sportsvisio.com with the program name and a couple of examples and we will look at the cause rather than patching game by game.
