How does billing work?

Everything you need to know about when and how much you'll be charged for using Spriggy Pocket Money.

Every family starts with a 7-day free trial to explore Spriggy. After that, your price depends on your plan and how many children are on your membership.

Spriggy Classic

  • $5 per month, billed annually for families with 1 child

  • $7 per month, billed annually for families with 2–6 children

Spriggy Classic includes:

  • Prepaid Visa card for each child

  • Pocket money and Jobs

  • Savings and Goals

  • Real-time spending notifications

Spriggy Plus

Spriggy Plus includes everything in Classic, plus investing for your kids' future.

  • $7 per month, billed annually for families with 1 child

  • $9 per month, billed annually for families with 2–6 children

In addition to all Classic features, Spriggy Plus includes:

  • Simple investing designed for long-term growth

  • Set and forget with recurring investments

  • Invest together with your kids

  • Tax-smart by design

Spriggy membership is billed by Spriggy; you can find more details in the Spriggy Terms & Conditions.

Sometimes we run special promotions. If you sign up under a promo, check the offer's Terms & Conditions for all the details.

Adding or removing a child

Your membership cost depends on how many kids you've got on your account:

  • Add a second child (up to 6 total) → you'll move from the one-child plan to the multiple-children plan.

  • Already on the multiple-children plan? Adding more kids won't change your price.

  • Remove kids until there's just 1 child left → you'll move back to the one-child plan.

Adjustment fee (only if you change plans mid-year):

Moving from one-child to multiple-children, or upgrading from Classic to Plus, means a small pro-rata adjustment is charged straight away for the remainder of your billing period.

  • Example (adding a child on Classic): If you paid $60 on 1 Jan and add a second child on 1 July (halfway through), you'll be charged $12 (half of the $24 annual difference). From your next renewal, you'll be charged the full $84 multiple-children rate.

  • Example (upgrading to Plus, 1 child): If you paid $60 for Classic on 1 Jan and upgrade to Plus on 1 July (halfway through), you'll be charged $12 (half of the $24 annual difference). From your next renewal, you'll be charged the full $84 Plus rate.

Upgrading to Spriggy Plus during your free trial

If you upgrade to Spriggy Plus during your 7-day free trial, your trial continues as normal, and you won't be charged until it ends. When the trial ends, you'll be charged the Spriggy Plus subscription fee rather than the Classic fee. A new free trial is not issued when upgrading to Plus.

Downgrading from Spriggy Plus to Classic

To downgrade from Spriggy Plus to Classic, contact our Member Help team via the in-app chat. You'll keep full access to Spriggy Invest until the end of your current billing period, after which your plan moves to Classic and Invest access will no longer be available.

Before a downgrade can be processed, your Spriggy Invest account will need a $0 balance. Withdrawals can take up to 2 business days to complete, so it's worth starting that process early if your next billing date is coming up.

Other fees (from the card issuer)

A few other costs may pop up, depending on how you use Spriggy:

  • Replacement card: $10 if lost, damaged, stolen, used without permission, or if you'd like a new design. (No fee for cards replaced at expiry.)

  • Currency conversion: 3.5% when you spend in another currency.

  • Cancellation fee: Up to $10 if your Parent Wallet + cards have $10 or less remaining when you close your account.

Free trial reminder

Your 7-day free trial covers the Spriggy membership only. Card-related fees from Indue (the card issuer) can still apply during the trial.
