Everything you need to know about paying someone and receiving money instantly using Spriggy SPRK

Updated over a week ago

Spriggy SPRK users can now send and receive money instantly, with any friend who also uses Spriggy SPRK, through the Spriggy app.

How to pay someone for the first time with Spriggy SPRK:

  1. Log into Spriggy SPRK.

  2. Tap ‘Pay Someone’.

  3. Tap ‘Add a friend’.

  4. Enter the mobile number of the intended recipient.*

  5. Enter the transfer amount. Your teen will only be able to pay someone if there is sufficient balance on their Spriggy card.

  6. Add a ‘Description’ eg: Thanks for lunch!

  7. Review the transfer.

  8. Tap ‘Confirm’.

*If the mobile entered is not registered, this means the friend is not a Spriggy SPRK user. They will need their parent to sign up for a Spriggy membership and upgrade to Spriggy SPRK before proceeding.

Please note that there is a $100 transfer amount limit to any one person, a $250 send limit and a $250 receive limit, per 24 hours.

How to pay an existing friend with Spriggy SPRK:

Parents will receive instant notifications of transactions sent via the Spriggy app subject to notifications being turned on. See this FAQ for more.

Please note that there is a $100 transfer amount limit to any one person, a $250 send limit and a $250 receive limit, per 24 hours.

If you suspect the “Pay Someone” feature has been used in a way it’s not intended for or there is an issue with a transaction, please contact our Member Support team. Should the Spriggy team notice something unusual or concerning with a “Pay Someone” transaction, we will attempt to contact the parent associated with the relevant Spriggy membership.

If you no longer want your teen to have access to this feature, you may request that access to Spriggy SPRK be removed for your teen at any time by reaching out to our Member support team (this will remove your teen’s access to all SPRK features). If you want to regain access to Spriggy SPRK, just reach out to our Member Support team.
