Teens can send money to their friends who also use Spriggy’s SPRK Mode by following these steps:

  1. Log in to SPRK Mode on the Spriggy app

  2. Tap the ‘Transfer’ button on the home screen

  3. Tap ‘Pay a SPRK friend’

  4. Tap on the friend they want to pay, then tap ‘Pay Friends’

  5. Enter the amount

  6. Enter a description (optional) and tap ‘Next’

  7. Review the transfer, then tap ‘Confirm’ and ‘Done’

Teens will need to add friends to their friends list before they are able to pay them. They can add a new friend by entering their username, mobile number¹, or by scanning their QR code.

Your teen can see the transfer in their Spriggy transaction history and the recipient will receive the funds almost instantly on their prepaid card. As a parent, you can see the transfer in your child’s transaction history and you will get a notification if you have them turned on.

Please note: Teens can only send $100 to a SPRK friend per transaction. There is also a total send limit of $250 and a total receive limit of $250 per rolling 24-hour period (across transactions to/from all SPRK friends).

¹If your teen is unable to add their friend by mobile number, it means they are not yet on Spriggy’s SPRK Mode. To be able to pay a friend using SPRK Mode, their parent or guardian will need to have a Spriggy membership and have activated SPRK Mode to unlock additional features for their teen.

If you don’t want your teen to have access to this feature, you can ask us to remove your teen from Spriggy’s SPRK Mode (this will remove their access to all SPRK features).

If you believe a transfer has been made unintentionally or there is an issue with a transaction, please contact us. If we see something concerning, we will attempt to contact the parent associated with the relevant Spriggy membership.
