Once you've built up a Wave Points balance, you can redeem it for real rewards -coffees, treats, restaurant offers, vouchers, and more, all through the SQUID app! đ
đŻ How it works
Every reward in the SQUID app has a Wave Points listing value. For example, a coffee in one café might be listed as 300 Wave Points, and a coffee in another café may be listed as 400 Wave Points.
As long as you have enough Wave Points in your balance, you can claim the reward and then redeem it whenever you're ready - no need to spend everything at once! Vouchers do not expire until used in-store, so you can keep them in your app until you're ready to redeem.
đ± How to redeem a Wave Points Reward:
Open the SQUID app and navigate to the Wave section at the bottom of the page.
Tap the Spend Points button.
Browse and choose the reward you'd like
Tap Claim Reward - this adds the reward to your Wallet as a Wave Points Reward in the Loyalty Cards tab and is stored in the loyalty card of that business.
Go to Wallet â Loyalty Cards â With Voucher and find the loyalty card of the business to access the voucher, then redeem it by clicking 'redeem now', tap the SQUID tag at the counter and show the pop-up on screen to the server. Ensure NFC is enabled on your phone before tapping the SQUID tag. You can activate NFC in your device settings if it is not already turned on.
đïž Redeeming Shopping Vouchers
Navigate to the Wallet section, click the Vouchers tab and click on your voucher.
Click the 'Activate Voucher', or 'View Balance' to get the barcode/voucher number and PIN, and have it scanned at checkout.
For vouchers that are only redeemable in online stores, you will receive an email with your gift card code that you can use to check out online.
đ Finding rewards near you
Go to the Wave Points page and tap Spend Wave Points:
Featured Rewards shows a curated selection of nearby rewards based on your approximate location, if you have enabled loc.ation services.
Local Rewards (found under Featured Rewards) opens a map showing all the places you can claim a reward nearby - including coffees, shop and restaurant vouchers, and food.
Gift & Voucher lets you browse vouchers you can purchase using your Wave Points- Only businesses listed in the "Claim Reward" section of the app are eligible for redemption. If a business is not listed, it cannot accept the voucher.
đ§ Troubleshooting
If a redemption doesn't go through at the checkout, don't try again - let us know straight away via the 'chat with our support team' button in your account section. Provide us with the business name, reward, and approximate time, so we can look into it without risking a duplicate deduction.
Once a reward is redeemed, it can't be added back to your balance unless requested by the business, so double-check you've selected the right one before confirming.- "1 Free Coffee" is the title of the loyalty scheme, not an available reward. You must complete the required number of stamps on the loyalty card to unlock the reward.
Birthday vouchers are optional promotions that individual businesses may enable. Not all businesses offer them.
To be eligible for a birthday voucher at a participating business, you must have tapped the SQUID tag at that business at least once.
Each business determines the reward type and expiry date for their birthday vouchers. The expiry date is typically mentioned in the original promotion message where you claimed the voucher.
Expired vouchers are automatically removed from your wallet and cannot be reinstated.
Birthday vouchers can be found in the Notifications section of the SQUID app, located at the top right of the main screen. If you received a birthday offer, you may need to collect it from Notifications before it appears for redemption.
If you cannot find your birthday voucher in the SQUID app:
Check the expiry date in the original promotion message. Expired vouchers are automatically removed from your wallet.
Ensure that the business you are visiting has enabled birthday vouchers and that you have tapped their SQUID tag at least once.
