Service File notes provide Workers with a place to record notes relating directly to a client’s Service File and are generally not used as a place to record a client’s case notes (these would be entered at the Service Event level).

Service File notes could be used for:

  • General notes about the service being provided to the client

  • Client availability

  • Important information for admin staff etc

It is possible to navigate between different Service File notes by using the Prev and Next buttons located directly under the page title.

Add a New Note

To add a note from the Service File Note page:

  1. Click the Add New button.

  2. Enter a Title.

  3. Enter your notes.

  4. Click Save.

Edit an Existing Note

To edit an existing note from the Service File Note page:

  1. Use the Prev and Next buttons to navigate to the applicable Service File note.

  2. Click the edit button located in the top right-hand corner of the page.

  3. Edit as required.

  4. Click Save.

Locking an Existing Note

To lock an existing note:

  1. Click the Lock link located under the help question mark.

  2. Confirm the warning message.

The note will be locked immediately and cannot be reversed. Once locked the Service File can no longer be deleted.
