Service Event Review
Updated over a week ago

If the Enable Service Event Review functionality is turned on in Penelope the Service Event will need to be reviewed before invoicing any Service Units or closing the Service File by an authorized Worker.

Please note that you shouldn't turn on if you have a lot of Service Events that would need to be updated as all events in the past are added to the Event Review list when you turn this setting on.

Enabling Service Event Review

To enable Service Event Review you will need to log in to Penelope using a System Administrator account. The Enable Service Event Review setting is available on the Event Setup page under the Optional and Other Settings heading.

For more information on the Event Setup page click here.

Marking a Service Event as Reviewed

To mark a Service Event as reviewed the Worker must be assigned to the Admin-Exec or Intake-Mgmt User Group and must also be part of a Security Class that allows access.

Follow the steps below to mark a Service Event as reviewed:

  1. Record the Attendance (e.g. mark the Service Event as resolved).

  2. Click Mark Reviewed on the Service Event page. It is important to note that this link will only appear if this functionality is enabled.

  3. Once reviewed (step 2) the Service Event will be marked as Review Completed.

If any additional Service Units are added or the attendance is reverted the Service Event will need to be reviewed again.

Should you need to reverse the Review Completed status of a Service Event, it can be done by reverting the attendance and then marking the attendance again. However, there may be times when reverting attendance is not possible due to other contributing factors (e.g. Service Units have been invoiced).

Important Information

If a Worker tries to close the Service File prior to reviewing all Service Events an error message will appear advising the Worker that at least one Service Event needs to be reviewed. The same will happen if the Worker tries to create an Invoice for any Service Units in the Cart of an unreviewed Service Event.

To resolve this error the Service Event needs to be identified and the Mark Reviewed link clicked. To help identify Service Events that may need reviewing use the Event Review List.

Event Review List

The Event Review List can be used to easily identify which Service Events need to be reviewed and can be accessed from the Links sidebar on the Workers My Home page.

To access the Event Review List the Worker must be assigned to the Admin-Exec or Intake-Mgmt User Group and must also be part of a Security Class that allows access.
