Troubleshooting: Service File Cannot be Closed
Troubleshooting: Service File Cannot be Closed
Updated over a week ago

What's happening:

You receive one or more of the following error messages when trying to close a Service File:

Unresolved Events

A Service File cannot be closed before all of its events are resolved.

Open Tasks

Service File cannot be closed because it contains one or more open client task(s).

Documents

Service File may not be closed because 1 document(s) have not been completed. A document is not completed when not all required questions are answered and/or a required sub-document has not been filled out.

Possible solutions:

Items in a Service File must be resolved before you can close the Service File.

Step 1: Ensure all Events have been resolved

Review the Service Events list noting any events that are still in a Booked state and record the attendance for each instance you find.

Step 2: Ensure all Workflow Tasks have been resolved

Review the Workflow sidebar at the Service File level to see if there are any unresolved Workflow Tasks (indicated by the item not being crossed out). Close any unresolved Workflow Tasks.

Step 3: Ensure all Documents are completed

A Document is considered incomplete if all required questions have not been answered. Review the Documents and Outcomes Assessments sidebars to determine if there are incomplete Documents. Incomplete Documents are indicated by the presence of a yellow caution symbol.

Note: If the Document title is quite long, the yellow caution symbol may not be present:
