Updated over 9 months ago

Swatch King offers multiple methods to create product groups:

In this guide, we'll focus on setting up Product Groups using the dashboard.

Step 1: Navigate and Initiate Group Creation

  • Go to the Swatch King dashboard.

  • Click on the Product Groups in the side navigation bar.

  • Under the Product Groups card, click on Add group to open create group page.

Step 2: Add Products and Define Group Details

  • Add a Group Name (for you to know, shoppers won't see this). It's for you to organize groups within the app.

  • Specify the Option Name, which shoppers will see (like Color, Material, or Available in).

  • Select the products you wish to group together.

  • Define Option Values for each product (like red or pink). If left blank, the default product name will show.

  • Save your settings.

Step 3: Customize the Product/Collection page Style and Set the Image Preferences

  • Next to the chosen style, you'll find the dropdown for selecting your swatch image source. Here's where you can specify the variant image to display:

    • Choose First Variant Image to use the primary image for each variant as the swatch.

    • Select Second Variant Image if you want the swatch to display the second image associated with each variant.

    • Opt for Last Variant Image to show the final image of each variant as the swatch.

    • Alternatively, you can select Color/Custom Image to use a custom image or color for your swatches.

Conclusion

You've successfully set up Product Groups, enhancing how customers view and select products in your store. Check out your storefront to see these product groups in action!

Note: To apply Swatch King's features to your store, navigate to the side menu and select "Activate App on themes." Choose your preferred theme. Always confirm this after updates or changes.
