What are GM Badges?
GM Badges are a icons designed to highlight a Game Master's skills, specialties, and accolades.
They shout out your commitment to tabletop games and making awesome experiences for players!
How many badges can I display?
You can display up to 3 badges at a time.
Where do I choose my badges to display?
You can edit your displayed badges from the Badges section of the Edit GM Profile page.
How do I earn badges?
You earn badges by running games on StartPlaying, it's as easy as that!
Once you meet the requirements for a badge, it will automatically be unlocked. You'll get a notification each time you earn a new badge.
How many badges are there?
More than 3 but less than 100!
Kidding, but in all honestly, we aren't telling. Badges will continue to get added, so this will be a fluctuating number over time.
Here are some of the badges that have already been released, as well as some basic instructions on how they are earned!
Campaign Caretaker - Run long-term campaigns.
Charity Hero - Raise money for charity events.
Critical Hit - Run 1000 games.
Cult Classic - Run at least 1 session for a bunch of different systems that are not D&D 5e or Pathfinder 2e.
Event Enthusiast - Run games in several events on StartPlaying.
Gather the Party - Run games for a bunch of different players.
Herald - Earn referral credits from referring a bunch of players to StartPlaying.
Jack of All Games - Run at least 1 session of several different game systems.
Master of Fantasy - Run a lot of Fantasy games on Startplaying.
Master of Horror - Run a lot of Horror games on Startplaying.
Master of Scifi - Run a lot of Scifi games on Startplaying.
One-Shot Hero - Run a lot of one-shots.
Reviewer - Post reviews of several Game Modules or Game Systems on StartPlaying.
Some of the Badges also have tiered versions when you hit different milestones, so you can continue growing your badge collection!
