How do I Fix a Failed Payment?

How to repay a failed payment/payment that did not go through

It happens to everyone eventually. For whatever reason, the card a player used didn't go through on the site and needs to reprocess. This is very easy to fix! โœจ

If you are running into trouble with your card consistently declining, please email us at support@startplayinggames.com. We can take a look on our back end as to why it may be declining!

How do I view my failed payments?

To view your full transaction history, including failed payments, you can go to your Payment page and scroll through your Player Transaction History.

How do I repay my failed payment?

  1. Click your Profile Picture at the top right-hand corner of the screen, and click on "Account Settings"

  2. Click on "Payment" on the left-land side of the screen

  3. Click on the "Pay my balance" button next to your "Outstanding Balance"

How do I update my card on file to pay my balance?

Step 1: Go to your Payment page

  1. Click your Profile Picture at the top right-hand corner of the screen, and click on "Account Settings"

  2. Click on "Payment" on the left-hand side of the screen

Step 2: Put in Your New Card Information

Here is where you can find any outstanding balance, all your transactions, and can update your card information. Once you have entered the new information, click on save.

Step 3: Click "Pay my balance"

Once you hit that, you should be all set! โœ…

How do I know if my failed payment was reprocessed?

If the payment processed correctly, you won't see the section labeled "Outstanding Balance" anymore! You'll also see your updated payment in the "Player Transaction History" below your card information. If you don't see it right away, refresh your page.

What if my card isn't working, but I know it should be?

Please email us at support@startplayinggames.com and we can help look into why your card may be declining on the back-end with our payment processor, Stripe!
