StartPlaying was started with the intent of helping players find great games, but our main focus is on helping our GMs be the best they can be! This means we are constantly improving the site to make it more user-friendly for our players and our GMs.

We have a Discord server that all GMs can join where you can get help from other successful GMs, chat to anyone on the StartPlaying team, and make suggestions so we can build new features to better help you! The site handles the majority of the admin work, which is fantastic. StartPlaying sends reminders to players before games, takes care of charging players during a session, so you don't have to seek them out, and allows players to leave reviews for you so others can seek you out.

Additionally, the site is not in its final form. We are constantly finding ways to grow and expand our features and experiences.

Last but not least, let's talk about the topic that everyone has questions on...cash moneys!

The first question most GMs have when joining our site is, "How much does it cost to use the site?" We don't charge GMs to join the site or have any sort of subscription fee. Instead, we take 10% of any bookings that are made on the site. This allows us to continue to offer all the services on the site and expand, increasing your benefits as a GM on the site!

We're also an actual company with investors, not just a side passion project. This means that our success hinges on yours, so we are driven to make sure our GMs crush it. All payments are made directly through the site, which means that we will handle any disputes or fraud that occurs on the site, as our priority is protecting the GMs that run with us. Because the payment is run through us, this also means that we will send you all of your transaction data, so you aren't left scrambling at the end of the year trying to figure out what you've made. We should note that taking payment off our site is against our Terms of Service.
