What is a Session Zero?
Session Zero is a preliminary meeting between the Game Master and the players before the game actually begins. It's typically used to align on game expectations, safety tools, and set a tone for the game.
Many GM's like to offer a free session zero to their players. They might do this so they aren't charged for going over table information without playing, or maybe they like to give players a taste of the game before they commit to buying.
Steps to Set Up a Free Session Zero
Have your players sign up at the regular session price
In your Listings, click on your Adventure
Under Players, click the 3 dots on the right side of the screen
Click Change booking price
Turn on Next session free
Click Save
Repeat for each player in your game
Do I change the price back after Session Zero?
No, if you use Next session free then you do not need to change the player's price back. The player's price will automatically reset after the session.
Do I have to offer a Free Session Zero?
No, you do not need to make your Session Zero free! Many Game Masters charge for Session Zero, but many make it free.
It is up to you if you want to charge your players for Session Zero.
