How to Add Reference Data

This article will guide you through the process of uploading reference data.

Updated over 2 months ago

The document reference data is to be filled out by the end user after document submission. Once a document is submitted and processed, you will receive a notification letting you know it’s ready for your review. From there, you’ll be directed to the Deal Page, where you can begin entering reference data.

Financial Metrics

Navigate to the Financial Metrics tab to enter key values such as LTM EBITDA, leverage ratios, and other relevant financial metrics.

Deal Parties

Click on the Deal Parties tab to add information about the sponsor, legal counsel, and any other involved parties.

Ratings

Use the Ratings tab to input any credit ratings associated with the deal.

Deal Information

In the Deal Information tab, you can update the deal name, add or edit status, and enter deal identifiers.

Save

Once you’ve completed all relevant fields, be sure to click Save at the top of the page to preserve your changes.

Why This Matters

Providing complete and accurate reference data is essential for enabling powerful tools within the platform, such as favorability scoring and interactive charts in the Term Benchmark. Without inputs like EBITDA or total leverage, normalized values cannot be generated.
