Property Information Questionnaire (Consumer App)

How sellers and landlords complete and submit the Property Information Questionnaire through the Street Consumer App

Property Information Questionnaire (PIQ) in the Consumer App

If you choose to enable and set up a PIQ in Street, sellers and landlords will be able to complete it via the Street Consumer App. Their answers automatically feed into your Street system for you to review and update on the property details.

The Property Information Questionnaire works the same way for both sellers and landlords - both will see a 'Property Information' task appear in their to-do list once the property has been instructed, and both follow the same steps to complete and submit their answers.

How the PIQ appears in the App

When a property has been instructed in Street, the seller or landlord will receive the 'Instruction Received' notification, asking them to download the app.

Note - This notification can be toggled on/off and the content can also be edited. For more information on managing this notification, see this help article. If you want to manage this for a specific property, see this help article.

Once logged in, they will see their property details and a Tasks section at the top of the the Overview tab, showing their various tasks, including the 'Property Information' questionnaire task.

Clicking into this gives some context around how the questionnaire process works, along with an estimated completion time and number of questions.

At this stage, the PIQ in your Street account will show as 'awaiting response'. For more information, see our Property Information Questionnaire help article.

Answering questions

The seller or landlord simply works through each question, answering from the available options or selecting 'I don't know' or 'not relevant' to any questions where they are unsure.

They will also have the option to either choose suggested data from Street Data that has been verified, or enter their own answer if they prefer. Any questions where data is available from Street Data will show a 'suggested' banner on the relevant answer.

Tip! They can also click the question mark icon next to any question for help text that you have added for custom questions on your PIQ setup page!

Submitting the PIQ

When finished, they can scroll through and review their answers, making edits if needed, before clicking 'Submit'. If they are unable to complete the entire questionnaire in one go, they can come back at a later time and any responses already given will be saved.

Note - To avoid conflicting answers, only one person can submit the PIQ per property. If the property has multiple sellers or landlords who have both downloaded the app, whoever begins the PIQ first will have priority. Any additional people will see a warning in the property information section, advising that the PIQ has already been started.

What happens after submission?

Once the PIQ has been submitted, the information feeds into your Street system for you to view and update the property details. If the property is unassigned, the notification is sent to the branch email address. Otherwise, the property assignee will receive it. You will also see a notification in Street β€” clicking it will load the PIQ information page.

Once submitted, you'll receive a notification in Street where you can review the responses, compare them against the data you already hold, and update the property details with a single click. For the full breakdown of how to review and action PIQ submissions, see our Property Information Questionnaire help article.

Note - If the property is assigned, an email notification is sent to the property assignee will receive it. Otherwise, the email is sent to the branch email address.

Additionally, PIQ responses also show in the Street Agent app during viewing appointments. You can access them via the property tab > property details > 'view PIQ responses'. This helps your team pull up key information when at a property appointment, giving potential applicants a great experience at viewings.
