Property FAQs
Property FAQs acts as a central place for managing questions about a property - whether they've been asked by your team during a viewing or added manually - and for collecting answers from the property owner.
Owners can answer questions directly from their Street account, either via their Street app or desktop login.
To get started, head to the property page and click Info at the top right > FAQs.
From here you will see any questions that have been asked, along with any answers and their statuses.
How are questions added?
Questions appear in the Property FAQs section from two sources.
Manually added
Any member of your team can add a question directly from the Property FAQs section using the 'Add FAQ' button at the top right.
You can add the question and optionally provide an immediate answer yourself.
From the agent app during viewings
When your team asks a question via the Street Agent App during a viewing, it automatically creates a FAQ against the property. These are linked to the viewing they came from and are sent straight to the owner who can respond from their Street account, either via their Consumer app or via desktop.
What actions are available with property FAQs?
From the actions drop down on the right of the question, you will see a variety of options, depending on the status and where the question originated.
Submit Answer - If the question status is 'not answered' your team can submit an answer directly without waiting for the owner to answer. This is particularly useful if you already know the answer.
Send to owner - Additionally, if the question is unanswered, you also have the option of sending the question to the owner. They'll receive a notification in their Street consumer account, as well as an email, prompting them to answer. Once they've responded, the answer will appear here automatically.
Edit the answer - If the question status is 'Answered' you have the option of editing the answer before publishing, useful if a mistake was made.
Respond to applicant - Once answered, for questions that were submitted via the Street agent app during a viewing, you can use the 'respond to applicant' option that will email the question and answer directly to the applicant who asked it.
Publish - Once answered, you can also publish the question and answer. This locks the wording so it can no longer be edited, useful if the answer has been finalised.
Additionally, when publishing the FAQ, you will have the option of ticking the 'make visible on public listing' box. This will make the question and answer show on the Street public page.
Note - If a question is published but not made public, it's not possible to make public at a later date. If you want the question to show on the public page, you must make it public at the same time as publishing the question.
Delete - Questions can be deleted at any time, regardless of their status.
Question statuses
Each FAQ shows one of the following statuses:
Not Answered - No response has been submitted yet
Answered - A response has been submitted, either by your team or the owner via the consumer app.
Published - Your team has reviewed and approved the question and answer wording. Publishing locks the FAQ - it can no longer be edited, only deleted - so use the Publish FAQ form to tighten up the wording before confirming.
Public - The FAQ is visible on the Street public page. A FAQ can only be made public at the point of publishing, by ticking 'Make visible on public listing'. If that option wasn't selected when publishing, the FAQ will show as Published but remain hidden from the public page.
This means there are two possible publish outcomes:
Published only - The wording is locked and reviewed, but not visible on the listing.
Published + Public - The wording is locked and reviewed and the FAQ is live on the public listing page.
Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
