Property Viewing Settings

Each property in Street has its own custom Property Viewing Settings, allowing you to manage how viewings are scheduled and conducted for each property individually.

To get started, head to a property page and click info (top right) > settings > viewings.

Overview

The Overview section provides a snapshot of all current viewing settings for the selected property, including the viewing duration, if unaccompanied viewings are allowed or required, currently availability for viewings and if online bookings are enabled, and if viewings require the owner's approval.

Additionally, you have the option of choosing which questionnaire to use for this property, selecting from the templates you've setup in your settings, and an option to copy a link to the questionnaire should you want to send this to a client manually.

This section is a central hub to quickly review all settings and ensure they align with the property’s requirements.

Preferences

The Preferences section allows you to customise the key viewing preferences for the property.

Firstly you can set the viewing duration in minutes. By default this will look at the viewing duration as set in your branch settings however you can override this if needed.

Next you can choose whether to allow unaccompanied viewings. If enabled, unaccompanied viewing slots will be added to the availability, and you will also have the option of making unaccompanied viewings mandatory, which will prevent viewing agents being assigned to viewings.

If you keep unaccompanied viewings as disabled or optional, you will also have the option of selecting which viewing agents should be assigned to the property. Entering specific users here will determine which users will be assigned viewings via the branch calendar or online bookings. Leaving this field empty will allow any agent to be assigned.

Availability

The Availability section controls when viewings can be scheduled. You have the choice between:

  • Anytime – Useful for full flexibility, however this could result in viewings booking in outside of office hours, if unaccompanied viewings are enabled

  • Block viewings – Useful to setup block times where a specific user will conduct viewings

  • Weekly recurring schedule – Useful if you have regular access on specific days / times

  • Specific days and times – Useful if availability is restricted, for example because of existing tenants

Additionally within availability you have the option of enabling or disabling online bookings for that specific property. This can be used to override branch settings if online bookings have been disabled there. With online bookings enabled, clients can book a viewing online, based on the availability set above.

Owner Confirmation

Finally the Owner Confirmation section determines when the property owner needs to approve viewings.

If set to always, when a viewing is booked, either by a user in Street or online by a client, the 'vendor/tenant' checkbox on the viewing page will be unchecked and will need approving manually before the viewing is confirmed.

Sometimes allows you to control what days need confirmation, based on the availability you've set up. Additionally you can set a minimum notice period for bookings that do not require owner confirmation. This ensures that viewings are scheduled in a way that respects the owner’s preferences while maintaining flexibility for potential buyers.

If a viewing is booked outside of the minimum notice period the owner or tenant checkbox will automatically tick when booking a viewing.

If set to never, viewings will never require confirmation from owner or tenant and the checkbox will automatically tick when booking a viewing, as long as they fall outside the minimum notice period set.

Tip! If you want viewings to have all parties checked immediately when booking viewings, ensure the viewing fits the owner preferences and you have property keys setup for the property!
