Online Bookings Setup

Making bookings for valuations and viewings accessible online provides a huge opportunity to profit from modern-day consumers who crave a service that’s easily available whenever they need it.

The online booking setup wizard gives you control over any settings that affect the way online bookings work for your branch. You can capture interest at a time that suits your customers, giving them a next-level experience, while simultaneously producing tremendous efficiencies for your agency.

Branch vs Company Online Bookings Settings

Online booking settings are set up in two locations - branch settings and company settings. Company level focuses on high level settings such as managing valuers for areas, enabling or disabling online viewings across the company and the branding on the online booking flow.

This article explains what settings can be controlled at Branch level however for a detailed breakdown of the company level settings, see our Online Bookings (Company) help article.

Branch Online Bookings Settings

To get started head to Settings (on the left side panel, at the bottom) > Branch Settings > Street App & Portal > Online Bookings. The view will look very similar to the company online settings however there are different settings to set up here.

Note - You will need to be a Branch or Company Admin to access the branch online booking settings.

Global Settings

The online bookings global settings affect both valuations and viewings and allows you to set how far in advance (in hours) consumers can arrange or reschedule an appointment from within the consumer platform. If you don't require any notice, simply enter 0.

Additionally from here you can choose whether to allow same day bookings. If enabled consumers can book an appointment for the same day, as long as it's greater than the notice required.

Valuation Online Bookings

Within the valuation section of online bookings you'll have various settings that you can customise to maintain control of how valuations are booked.

Valuation Settings

Clicking the 'edit settings' dropdown will take you to the valuation settings section where you can setup your valuation specific settings including:

  • Valuation Duration - How long valuation appointments should take (this will determine how long they are booked into your calendar for).

  • Areas and Patches - See details on how areas and patches affect online valuations and how you can edit these.

  • Book online or submit a request - Whether consumers should be able to book valuations online or submit requests only. If you choose submit a request only, consumer's requests will come through to your enquiry centre for you to manage.

  • Valuation booking preview - Preview what consumers will see when booking a valuation.

Sharing the valuation booking link

Your network has a unique valuation booking link that you can share with consumers so they can book a valuation in online. Simply click the 'get URL' button.

There are various ways of making use of this link such as embedding being a behind a “Book a Valuation” button on your website, embedding the page directly into your website using an iframe so users don’t have to navigate away from your site or linking it to a QR code that could be sent out on marketing material.

Tip! If you want to view the 'book a valuation' page yourself, you’ll need to be logged out of Street, or you can try using an Incognito window!

Viewing Online Bookings

Within the viewing section of online bookings you initially have the option of quickly toggling online viewing bookings on or off. If toggled off, applicants will not be able to book viewings online.

Note - If online bookings for viewings has been disabled at company level, you will not be able to enable viewings at branch level.

Viewing Settings

As with valuations, you can click the edit settings drop down to setup the viewing settings including:

  • Viewing duration - How long viewing appointments take, based on the number of bedrooms.

  • Auto responder emails - Whether the auto responder email should be sent to enquiries submitted via the portals. You can also edit the content of that notification directly from this page.

  • Pre-qualifying questions for sales and letting applications - Choose which pre-qualifying template applicants should complete when booking a viewing online. You can also set up your pre-qualifying questionnaire to control whether an applicant can book based on their answers, by setting up rules.

  • Viewing booking preview - Preview what consumers will see when booking a viewing.

Adding online viewing bookings to your website

Just like with valuations, you can also add the 'book a viewing' button to your website in a branded booking modal. To do this, ask your web developer to connect your website to the Street Property Feed API and provide the URL to your web developer to embed on property pages.

For more information on how to add the viewing booking URL to your website, click into each drop down in the viewing settings wizard.

Customising viewing settings per property

You can also set individual property settings for appointment time, viewing agents, availability and owner confirmation from the property page by clicking Edit Property > Viewing Preferences. For more information, see our Property Viewing Settings help article.
