Valuation Fees
When sending a sales valuation in Street, or when instructing a property, you will need to select you upfront and/or completion fees. The options available here will be determined by what valuation fees have been setup in your settings.
This article focuses setting up for your valuation fees in settings but for more information on adding fees to a valuation or instruction, see this help article.
Valuation Fee Settings
To access you valuation fee settings head to Settings (on the left side panel, at the bottom) > Company Settings > Valuation Fees.
Note - To access the valuation fee settings you will need to be a Company Admin and have a role with the permission 'Allow this user to manage valuation fees' enabled.
For more information, see our Roles and Permissions help article.
The valuation fee settings page is broken down into the upfront and completion section and within each section you will see a list of any existing valuation fees created.
Adding a new valuation fee
To add a new valuation fee, type the name of the valuation fee and click the 'add fee' button in the relevant section, either upfront or completion. For example, if adding a photography valuation fee you would typically enter the fee name in the upfront section. If adding a completion fee, such as the % fee taken on completion, you would enter the fee name in the completion section.
After clicking the 'add fee' button you will see a new line appear on the table.
Here you can give the valuation fee a name, select if it is exc / inc / no VAT, if it will be a fixed or percentage fee and set the default amount.
Note - The option to select VAT will only show if you have the VAT Registered feature toggled on in your company settings.
The default amount entered will be used to pre-populate when selecting the fee on a valuation or instruction, however it can be edited if needed.
With your new fee added, click 'save changes' at the top right and you will see a 'Valuation fees updated successfully' message.
Adding a 'discount' valuation fee
You can also use this section to add a discount valuation fee, for when offering a discount on an instruction. For example you could add a valuation fee called 'EPC discount' and in the default amount you would need to enter a number with a - (minus) in front of it, ie -50 for a discount of £50.
This discount will then show on the upfront or completion invoice, reducing the total amount owed.
Editing an existing valuation fee
To edit a valuation fee, simply change any of the relevant details in the valuation fee table, in the same way you did when adding a valuation fee. Again, to ensure the changes you've made are saved, you must click the 'save changes' button at the top right.
Deleting a valuation fee
To delete a valuation fee, click the bin icon next to an existing valuation fee.
With your valuation fees set up, you can start adding them to valuations and instructions.
