Sales Offers

To create a sales offer in Street the property must have an active sales listing, which in turn requires an instructed sales instruction.

However the is one exception to this whereby if you have a role with the permission 'Allow this user to create sales offers prior to instruction and listing' you will be able to create a sales offer without an instruction or listing. For more information, see our Roles and Permissions help article.

If you have an instructed sales instruction but would like to make an offer on a property before it is live on the portals, you should make the property available for sale, but before you save the listing make sure to tick the 'Low profile listing'. For more information, see this help article. If you also don't want to publish it on your website, you can use the 'Do not publish to website' feature, for more information see this help article.

Creating a Sales Offer

To create a new Sales Offer, head to the property page and click Create > Sales Offer. From here you will see the offer page.

On the right hand side of the create sales offer page you will see some key information relating to the property and any sales, including the sales offer guidance that has been added to the property, which can be extremely useful if there is key information to be aware of before submitting an offer such as the vendor's minimum price, as well as any previous fall throughs, if there are any.

From here you will need to search for the applicant making the offer. If when searching you see no results it is because the person making the offer is not an applicant within your system. In this case you should click 'Create Applicant' instead to first create them as an applicant.

If, after clicking 'Create Applicant', you see that the person does not exist within your system at all, click 'Create Person' to create their person account first and then create the applicant for that person.

Note - If you are creating a sales offer for a company, search the company name and, if you have an applicant card for that company already, you can select this company applicant.

If the company doesn't have an applicant card yet, click 'create applicant' and then 'applicant is a company' and select the company.

If the company doesn't exist at all, click 'create company' to create it, then create their applicant card.

Alternatively, you can create a sales offer directly from a viewing page via 'create' at the top right > sales offer.

Offer Details

With the applicant selected you can enter their offer amount and add/update their buying position and financial position. You can also add any additional information such as notes about the offer however it's important to note that these notes will show in the vendor's Street account.

Additionally, if you haven't already referred the applicant to one of your mortgage brokers via the Partner Platform, you will be prompted to do this at this stage. For more information, see our Partner Platform help article.

When ready to proceed, you can click Create Offer and you are done! It's important to note that clicking 'create offer' won't automatically send any communications to the vendor or applicant. This would only happen after accepting the sale.

Once you have created the sales offer, you can begin the process of verifying the offer through proof of funds, AML, solicitor details and more. For more information, see our Sales Offer Workflow help article.
