Property Brochures
Brochure templates are located in the Collateral Templates section and host a variety of different templates and design options, some of which are easier to work out than others. This article will walk you through how to add in some more complex brochure designs.
Note - You must be a Branch or Company admin to access collateral templates.
Getting started
To start head to Settings (left side panel) > Branch Settings > Collateral Templates. This section stores both brochures and window cards. For help creating window card templates, see our Window Card Templates help article.
Click 'New Template' and give it a name. The name you assign here is what will show on the drop-down selection when choosing which brochure template to use for a certain property, so use something that will make the choice of design easily identifiable.
From the 'collateral template' drop down, select 'brochure' and set the orientation (landscape or portrait).
Note - If you are a multi branch network, each branch will need to setup their own brochure templates. If you want to create a new template for one branch from an existing template in another branch, when clicking 'New Template' use the 'Copy From Existing Collateral' drop-down to select which template to copy from:
Designing your template
Template Settings
At the top left of the page, click 'template settings' and you can edit the name of the template as well as adjust both the font and font colour.
Type
Brochure templates are setup one page at a time. For each page you will select the type and then select the layout to use. You can then optionally add a background, a foreground and/or stickers.
To get started, choose what 'type' you want the page to be. Typically for the first page of a brochure you would use the 'cover page' type however you can select any type from the list on the left:
Layout
Once you have selected the type of page, you can then choose the layout for that page, from the left side panel:
Most of these layouts are fixed so you cannot adjust where the images / text are, however with the 'cover' and 'property details' types of pages, you can click on the example text boxes and change the 'content area settings', in the popup that appears on the right hand side, to show different details.
For example in a 'property details' type of page, you can choose to show the full description or short description, council tax and tenure, among other options.
Adding more pages
To add more pages to a brochure template, click the 'new page' button on the right and work through selecting the type and layout again:
Continue to add your different page types and layouts until you are happy. Once you have your brochure pages, you can flick through and make sure you are happy with the content that will be pulled through.
Background
Now the length of the brochure and the content has been selected you can move on to the background. There will be some set colours to choose from, or you can select from the colour picker or enter a hex code if you have one. This will add a block colour to the background:
Some agencies prefer to have different colours included in their background, like the blue and white split design in the example below. This would need to be done by adding a background image into your account, rather than choosing the background colours from within Street itself. Software such as Canva makes it really simple to achieve this, like in the example below:
Upload the background image from your computer and it will appear in the backgrounds section. Click the image to see how it looks in your window card:
If after adding a background you need to adjust the font colour, head back to 'template settings' in the top left.
A standard colour split background is just one example, you are free to be as creative as you like with your window card templates!
Stickers
Stickers allow you to add an overlaying image and these will be freely movable on top of the template.
This section is typically use for logos and QR codes, SSTC or let Agreed slips etc. but you can add whatever stickers you want here by clicking the 'upload image' button:
Note - The file format must be PNG or JPEG
Once you've uploaded an image, select it from your list of stickers and it will appear on your window card. This sticker can then be moved around, re-sized and deleted if needed:
QR Code Stickers
By default, your stickers section will have QR codes for 'public property page', which directs to the property's public page on Street, and 'book viewing page', which directs to the Street online booking page:
When added to the template, they will appear as generic QR codes however when you generate a QR code from a property page, it will automatically generate a unique QR code for that property.
Brochure Disclaimer
Some of the 'end page' types of pages can also pull through a disclaimer. Your disclaimer can be added on the main collateral templates page (Settings > Branch Settings > Collateral Templates) by clicking 'settings' in the top right:
If the disclaimer doesn't appear where you want it, you can add this in to a background image and upload it or even as a sticker. This will give you a lot more flexibility with the size, font, colour and positioning of the disclaimer.
Saving your brochure template
When you are finished making changes and happy with the template, click the 'save' button at the top right:
Editing/Deleting a brochure template
If you ever need to edit an existing brochure template, head back to Settings (left side panel) > Branch Settings > Collateral Templates > where you can find your brochure, click the three dots and click edit. This is also how you would delete a template from your system:
Once saved, your staff can then use this brochure template on any properties in the branch the template was create for. For help on creating a brochure from a property, see our Generating a Property Brochure help article.
