Property Brochures

Property brochures can either be generated within Street, using one of your Brochure Templates or they can be generated externally and uploaded to Street.

This article focuses on generating within Street but for information on uploading an externally generated brochure, see this help article.

Generating a Brochure in Street

Before you can generate a brochure, you must have a brochure template setup in your branch settings. For more information, see our Brochure Templates help article.

With a brochure template created, head to a property page and click Create (at the top right) > Generate Brochure > select the template you want to use.

Note - If you are a multi branch network, you will only see brochure templates setup for your active branch. If the brochure template you are looking for doesn't show, you can try changing your active branch by clicking your profile icon at the top right and selecting a different branch from the drop down.

Designing the Brochure

Once you've selected your template, you'll see the brochure design page where you can customise the content as needed.

Duplicating or deleting a page

On the left hand side you will see each page of your brochure which you can re-order by dragging and dropping or click into to start designing your brochure.

While it's not possible to add new pages you can duplicate an existing page or delete a page by hovering over the page and clicking the relevant button.

Brochure Photos

By default, the brochure will use the primary photo throughout any pages that have a photo section present. However you can quickly edit the photos being used by clicking on the photo and replacing it with one of available property photos in the 'edit content' section on the right hand side.

Brochure Text

By default, the brochure will display the details relevant to the type of page as selected in the template. For example, a 'property details' page will display the property description saved in the property details.

However, as with photos, all of the written content can be edited by clicking on the text on the brochure and editing the the text and/or formatting in the 'edit content' section on the right hand side. Don't forget to click 'apply' to save the changes and view them on the brochure page.

Tip! Sometimes, you may have too much text to display on one page. For example, in a 'property details' page the property description may be so long that it doesn't fit on the single page.

In this case, you could simply shorten the description in the brochure by editing the text. Or you could duplicate the page and then edit the text on each page so the original page shows part of the description and the duplicate page shows the remainder of the description. Don't forget to edit the photos as well if you want these to be different on the duplicated page!

Saving the brochure

When you are finished making edits, click the 'save' button at the top right to save the brochure to the property. When clicking save, you will see a popup asking if you want to publish the brochure to the portals.

Ticking this will create a public URL for the brochure that will automatically be added to the 'Other Media' section of the property and will automatically publish to the portals. This section can be found from the property page by clicking Edit (at the top right) > Edit Property > Property Details section.

Note - If there are any existing brochures saved here, they will be overridden with this new one.

For more information on adding brochures to your portal listings, see this help article.

Viewing a Brochure

Once the brochure has been saved, it will be stored in the property's documents and files pages. This can be accessed from the property page via Info (at the top right) > Documents and Files. Click the three dots on the right hand side and click 'download' to download a copy.

From here, you can also click 'edit' to change the name and description of the file as well as optionally give it a 'property feed file type' that is used to categorise the file in the property feed API. By default brochures generated in Street will have the 'make available on your website' setting toggled on, making it accessible in the property feed API, and should remain toggled on if you want to show the brochure on the portals.

Share Settings

From the same three dot menu, you will also have the 'share settings' option where you can choose whether to share the brochure with the owners.

If toggled on, the owners will be able to access and view the brochure from within their Street account, either via App or Desktop.

Printing a Brochure

If you would like to print a brochure, click the download button to download the brochure as a PDF file. Open this PDF file on your computer and you should be able to print by clicking the print button.

Editing an Existing Brochure

Once a brochure has been saved, it is not possible to edit the content as it becomes a static file. Instead, you will need to generate a new brochure however when selecting the same template, Street will automatically use the most recently created brochure for that property as the template.

This means, when generating a new brochure, you will get an exact copy of the brochure you're looking to edit and can then make the necessary changes, such as updating the price if there's been a price reduction or changing the photos.

Upon saving that new brochure, you'll have the option to publish to portals again and doing to will replace the existing brochure.

Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
