Adding an inspection report

Once an inspection has been confirmed, you will see the option to upload an inspection report. Typically you wouldn't complete this until the inspection status is 'Incomplete', ie the inspection date has passed. However you can still upload the report while the status is 'booked', ie the inspection date hasn't passed yet - useful if you ended up doing the inspection earlier.

Head to the inspection page and look for the 'Inspection report' section. Here you will see the option to upload a document from the inspection.

Uploading a Document

If you choose to upload the inspection report, you will see a few additional options of what to do next.

Firstly you can click the 'send' button to choose if you want to send the report to the owner and/or tenants. This will send the "Inspection Report To Owner / Tenant" notification as found in your notification preferences and the content of this notification can be edited.

Alternatively, you can click the 'complete without sending' button to complete the inspection without sending the report to anyone. This can be useful if you log the report for internal documentation but still need to proceed in completing the inspection. Using this option will skip ahead to the complete inspection step and allow you to set the next inspection date.

Marking a report as not required

Alternatively, you can tick the 'not required' box which will skip the document upload step and allow you proceed without uploading any document or emailing the owner.

Next step

The next and final step is to complete the inspection and set a new due date.
