Objective
This article explains how to add a new User to StructShare.
Background
Creating Users in StructShare will allow them to access the system using their email address and a password that they configure. You can also configure their role and permissions so they can engage with the system with the appropriate capabilities!
Points to Consider
System Admin permission required
Unique Email Address
Each User is required to have a unique email address
If you run into any issues with adding a new User who's email address has been previously stored in our system, please reach out to our team via in-app Support
Password
Once you have added a new User to the system, they will receive an invitation via email to set up a password
Bulk Upload
Users can be added individually, and also in bulk via Excel spreadsheet upload.
Procore Integration:
Users can also be synced from your integrated Procore account.
Add a User to StructShare Manually
1. Settings
2. Users & Permissions
3. Plus button / Add New User
4. Complete User Information and User Permissions - see this article for further details: Users & Permissions
5. Click Save changes to send the new User invitation
Bulk Upload
1. Complete the User Import Template
User_Import_Template.xlsx (Click to download)
2. Settings > Users & Permissions
3. Up arrow button / Upload Users
4. Map the columns accordingly
Note: Check the Ignore First Row box, bottom-left corner, to omit column headers from the upload
Sync Users from Procore to StructShare
1. Settings > Procore Integration
2. Start Import
3. Select your company from the dropdown list
4. Skip Importing Cost Codes and Projects
5. Select the Users to import from the dropdown list, including all Users
6. Click Import Users
7. Configure the imported User permissions as needed
