How to Add Project Phases

Objective

To create a phase within your Project in your StructShare instance

Background

In StructShare, you can order material and track material based on the project phase. All projects have a project lifecycle and to breakdown the cost and track the materials purchased based on the phase you are on can be done easily using the phases Once a phase has been added to a project they will be available for reference against Material Requests, Purchase Orders, and Invoices.

Things to Consider

  • Required Permissions - The ‘System Admins’ or 'Project Admin permission is needed to add Projects to the database.

Steps:

  • Add a phase to a project manually

  • Add phases to a project via import

Add a phase to a project manually

  1. Click on the StructShare 'S' logo at the top left to expand the menu bar.

  2. Click on the 'Projects' icon to open the 'Projects' screen.

  3. You can search for the Project by Project Name, Job Number or Address, or scroll to find the Project.

  4. You can either click on the pencil icon next to the Project name or click on the blue Project name to navigate to the Project Budget screen and then click on the 'Settings' tab.

  5. Click on the ‘Project Phases’ tab on the ‘Update Project’ pop up.

  6. Select the 3 dots to add your Project phases via 'Upload Phases'.


  7. Click on ‘Update’.

  1. Click on the StructShare 'S' logo at the top left to expand the menu bar.

  2. Click on the 'Projects' icon to open the 'Projects' screen.

  3. You can search for the Project by Project Name, Job Number or Address, or scroll to find the Project.

  4. You can either click on the pencil icon next to the Project name or click on the blue Project name to navigate to the Project Budget screen and then click on the 'Settings' tab.

  5. Click on the ‘Project Phases’ tab on the ‘Update Project’ pop up.

  6. Select the 3 dots to upload your Project phases via 'Upload Phases'

  7. Upload the Phases via an Excel file.

    1. Please note that all phases need to be in Column A of the Excel sheet

  8. Click on ‘Update’.
