Objective

Create different company divisions to apply to your projects and orders.

Background

Some companies operate multiple different company divisions. These divisions can operate in different regions, project phases, or even trades. Sometimes, divisions (or child companies associated with a parent company) actually have different names, addresses, and even logos. This feature will empower parent company customers in StructShare to select the appropriate company division associated with a project or specific order.

Things to Consider

  • ‘Headquarters’

    • One company division must be chosen as your ‘Headquarters’. Your Headquarters will be automatically applied to a project and subsequent orders by default unless changed in the project settings screen or specific order processing screen.

  • Business Information / Project Information Settings:

    • Only available on StructShare website (not mobile app)

  • Required Permissions:

    • ‘Submit to Suppliers’ access is required to choose a ‘Company Division’ on a specific order.

    • System Admin’ access is required to create, edit, and modify the ‘Company Divisions’ in the ‘Business Information’ settings.

Steps:

  • Create your Company Divisions

  • Apply a Company Division as a Default for the Project

Create your Company Divisions

  1. Click on the Gear icon top right of the page and then select ‘Business Information’.

  2. Click ‘+ Add a company division’ to create a new company division (you can add as many as needed).

  3. Fill out Company Name (Required), Billing Address, and upload a Logo (you can drag/drop an image file for this, or click to browse). You can also include Billing Contact Information.

  4. Click ‘Create’ at the bottom to save.

Apply a Company Division as a Default for the Project

  1. Click on the Gear icon top right of the page, then select 'Projects Information'.

  2. Click on the Pencil Icon next to the project you’d like to designate a Default Division within.

  3. Click the drop down arrow within the Default Division section to select which Company Division you’d like to use for this project.

  4. Click Update at the bottom of the page to save.
