How do I delete an audio/video project uploaded to Subanana? (You can restore it for 30 days)

About deleting projects

Written by Chloe

If you no longer need a project, follow these steps to delete its uploaded and generated content:

  1. Open the [All projects] page from the left-side menu; it lists all of your projects.

  2. Move your cursor over the project you want to delete and click its more options ([...]) button.

  3. Choose [Delete] from the menu. The project moves to [Recently deleted], and an [Undo] button appears briefly on screen — click it to undo.

Please note! Once a project is deleted:

  • The project, with its uploaded audio/video files and the transcription and subtitle content generated in it, is kept in [Recently deleted] in the left-side menu for 30 days, then deleted for good.

  • In [Recently deleted] you can click [Restore] to bring the project back, or click [Delete forever] to delete it right away.

Once a project is deleted forever, it cannot be undone or restored for you, so before deleting forever, please make sure you no longer need the content or have already downloaded a backup. Event caption sessions and sample projects do not go to [Recently deleted]: deleting them shows a "Delete project?" confirmation dialog, and once you confirm they cannot be restored.
