Follow the steps below to build a roofing proposal.
Step 1: Click “View Detail” on the customer’s proposal card to enter the proposal builder.
Step 2: Align the roof with the design tool’s crosshairs and click “Set House”.
Step 3: Use the design tool to draw each facet of the roof. The details of each facet (square footage and pitch) will appear below the design.
Step 4: Open the “Edge Tools” dropdown to select a different line style for eaves, ridges, hips, etc.
Step 5: Hover over the edge you would like to replace. A blue dot will appear indicating the selected line.
Step 6: Click to apply the edges as per your requirements.
Step 7: Use the “Gutter Line” button to add gutter lines to the design.
Step 8: Draw gutter lines where necessary, then press Shift + W to complete the gutter line.
Step 9: Click “Save” to save the design, and “Save & Continue” to save the design and move onto the next section of the proposal.
Step 10: From the “Existing Roof Type” dropdown, select the existing roof type of the home.
Step 11: Select if the roof is flat or sloped from the “Flat?” dropdown.
Step 12: Select a gutter color by clicking the “Edit” icon next to “Gutter Color”.
Step 13: Scroll down to the “Facets” section. You can update the waste factor with the “Waste Factor” dropdown on the right.
Step 14: The pitch, square footage and squares of a roof can be edited by hovering over the value and clicking the “Edit” icon.
Step 15: Click the “Edit” icon next to each field to select the material type, name and color.
Step 16: To select materials for each facet individually, toggle “Same for all Facets” off.
Step 17: Click “Yes”.
Step 18: You can now add different materials for each facet.
Step 19: Scroll down to the “Adders” section. If your proposal requires add-ons, click “Choose Adders”.
Step 20: Select the adders and click “Done”.
Step 21: Scroll down to the financing section of the proposal. You can add a down payment amount by selecting the payment type, down payment value and payment method, then clicking “Update”.
Step 22: Choose between Fully Integrated and Manual Entry financing and select your lender.
Fully Integrated Financing: This finance method allows you to select a finance product from integrated partner APIs. You can quote, finalize and qualify your homeowner directly within SubcontractorHub using this method.
Manual Entry Financing: This finance method allows you to add a finance option from your own database, or even add a custom loan or TPO product. This method does not facilitate qualification directly from the platform.
For this walkthrough, we will showcase cash finance.
Step 23: Click “Finalize”.
Step 24: After finalizing, the button will turn yellow and read “Unfinalize”.
Step 25: Scroll down to the “Summary” section of the proposal to view the pricing summary.
Step 26: Click the “Copy” icon to copy the public proposal URL. Click “View Proposal” to open the public proposal in the next tab. Click “Sign Now” to initiate the contract signing process.
