SubcontractorHub’s AI-Assisted design tool allows sales reps to generate an accurate roofing layout in seconds. The design is fully customizable using edge tools within edit mode. Follow the steps below to use the AI-Assisted design tool.
Step 1: Create a new roofing customer, selecting “AI-Assisted- Self Design” in the “Select Design Tool” dropdown. Click “Create Proposal” to save.
Step 2: The proposal builder will open. Click “Create Design”.
Step 3: Align the customer’s roof with the crosshairs and click “Run AI Design”.
Step 4: The roofing design will be generated automatically, complete with facets and gutter lines. The pitch and azimuth values are calculated automatically as well.
Step 5: Enter “Edit Mode” to adjust your design.
Step 6: Click the “Draw Facet” icon to draw a facet.
Step 7: Click to add facet points and connect them to draw the facet. Click “Done” to save.
Note: To draw a flat roof facet, enable the “Flat" toggle before drawing the facet.
Step 8: To edit the pitch of a facet, click “Facet List” and use the slide bar to adjust the value. Click “Done” to save changes.
Step 9: To edit a facet, click the “Edit Facets” icon.
Step 10: Click and drag points to edit the facet. Edited facets will turn blue. Click “Done” to save your changes.
Note: To delete facet points, toggle “Delete points” on and click to remove the facet point.
Step 11: To use special edge tools, click on the “Edit Edges” icon.
Step 12: The edge tool panel will open on the right-hand side. Select an edge tool and click on the edge to apply it, e.g., ridges.
Note: Some edge tools require specific actions before use.
To apply Rakes, select a facet before applying the edge.
Valleys and Ridges must be placed only on lines where facets intersect.
To remove a special edge, select the “None” option.
Step 13: To add or remove a gutter line, select a facet by clicking on it and then open the “Gutter Line” dropdown on the right. Choose “Add” to add a gutter line or “Remove” to remove a gutter line.
Step 14: Click “Done” to save your special edge design.
Step 15: To delete a facet, select the facet you want to remove and click the “Delete Facet” icon.
Step 16: Click “Yes” to continue.
Step 17: Click “Done” to save your updated design.
Step 18: Once your design is complete, exit edit mode and click “Save”.
Step 19: To edit your design after saving, click “Edit Design” in the top left corner of your design image.
