The Design Seeding feature allows you to reuse an existing solar and roof design when creating a new proposal for the same customer. By selecting a previous proposal during setup with the same address, the system automatically copies the design into the new proposal, eliminating the need to redesign the layout.
Follow the steps below to clone a design using Design Seeding.
Step 1: From the left-hand navigation menu, click “Customers” and select an existing customer with a solar proposal.
Step 2: On the customer details page, click “New Proposal”.
Step 3: In the “Add Proposal” form, confirm the address and required fields, then select either “Solar” or “Roofing” under Job Type.
Step 4: Locate the “Copy Proposal” field and choose the existing proposal ID from the dropdown list that contains the design you want to reuse.
Step 5: Click “Create Proposal” in the upper-right corner.
Step 6: After the proposal opens, verify that the design has been copied by reviewing the layout and panels in the design view.
