You can import a customer’s actual utility data into the Consumption Profile using a CSV file. Uploading a CSV replaces estimated energy usage with the customer’s real consumption data, ensuring more accurate proposal calculations.
Follow the steps below to import utility data into the consumption profile.
Step 1: From the Proposal detail page, select the appropriate utility company from the dropdown. The Consumption Profile import feature is available only for San Diego Gas & Electric Co, Pacific Gas & Electric Co., and Southern California Edison Co.
Note: The “Import 8760 Profile” button appears after selecting one of the qualifying utilities. You can choose to import the data here or continue to the proposal builder, as shown in the following steps.
Step 2: Click “Start Design.”
Step 3: Place the crosshairs over the center of the home on the map, then click “Confirm.”
Step 4: The AI-Assisted design will be generated automatically. Review the panel design, then click “Save”.
Step 5: Click the “Consumption Profile” button.
Step 6: Click “Import Profile.”
Note: You may download the sample file to view the required CSV format. The sample file shows how the customer’s data should be structured before upload.
Step 7: Click “Upload CSV,” then select the CSV file from your computer.
Step 8: After uploading the CSV file, the system replaces estimated usage data with the actual energy consumption provided in the file and updates the proposal calculations accordingly. Once the file uploads successfully, click “Save” to apply the changes.
