SMS Subscription Reward
Introduction
Build your SMS marketing list by offering points when customers opt in to receive text messages. SMS has high open rates and is great for time-sensitive promotions.
Enabling SMS Subscription Reward
Step 1: Create the Rule
Go to Subscribfy > Loyalty > Rewards Program tab > Create new rule > SMS Subscription
Step 2: Configure Basic Settings
Name | Display name (e.g., "Subscribe to SMS") |
Reward Amount | Points to award (e.g., 150 points) |
Reward Message | Message shown when reward is earned |
Step 3: Configure Advanced Settings (Optional)
Customer tags | Include or exclude customers by their Shopify tags |
Tier restriction | Limit which tiers can earn this reward |
Step 4: Save
Click Save and make sure the rule status is ON.
How It Works
Points are awarded when a customer subscribes to SMS marketing. The subscription status is synced with Shopify's customer marketing preferences.
Note: This is a one-time reward. Customers can only earn it once.
Retroactive Rewards
When you enable this rule, you can choose to retroactively reward customers who are already subscribed to SMS marketing.
Klaviyo Integration
If you have Klaviyo connected, Subscribfy sends a Subscribfy Sms Subscription Event when a customer earns points for subscribing.

Troubleshooting
Points not awarded?
Check that the customer's SMS marketing status is "subscribed" in Shopify. Verify they haven't already received this reward.
