Loyalty Coupons
Create redemption rewards that let customers spend their loyalty points on discounts, free shipping, or free products.
How to Access
Go to Subscribfy → Loyalty → Coupons tab → Add Coupon
Coupon Types
Choose from 5 different coupon types:
Amount Off Orders | Percentage or fixed amount off the total order (e.g., 10% off or $5 off entire order) |
Amount Off Products | Percentage or fixed amount off specific products or collections |
Buy X Get Y | Buy specific products and get others at a discount or free |
Free Shipping | Free shipping on the order (can limit by country) |
Free Product | Customer gets a specific product free when added to cart |
All Coupon Settings
Basic Rules
Name | Internal name for the coupon (customers see this when redeeming) |
Discount Code Prefix | Prefix for generated codes (e.g., LOYALTY-ABC123). Customers enter this at checkout. |
Points Required | How many loyalty points customers need to redeem this coupon |
Discount Value
Discount Type | Percentage (e.g., 10% off) or Fixed Amount (e.g., $5 off) |
Value | The discount amount (10 for 10%, or 5 for $5) |
Purchase Type | One-Time Purchase, Subscription, or Both |
Minimum Requirements
No minimum requirements | Coupon works on any order |
Minimum purchase amount | Customer must spend at least X (e.g., $50) before discount applies |
Minimum quantity of items | Customer must have at least X items in cart |
Customer Eligibility
All customers | Any customer with enough points can redeem |
Specific segments | Limit to customers with specific tags or in certain tiers |
Maximum Uses
Limit total uses | Total times this coupon can be redeemed across all customers |
Limit uses per customer | How many times each customer can redeem this coupon |
Combinations
Control whether this coupon can be used together with other discounts:
Product Discounts | Allow combining with product-level discounts |
Order Discounts | Allow combining with order-level discounts |
Shipping Discounts | Allow combining with shipping promotions |
Active Dates
Expires After | How many days the coupon code is valid after customer redeems it |
Start Date | When the coupon becomes available for redemption |
End Date | When the coupon stops being available (optional) |

Amount Off Products
Additional settings when using Amount Off Products:
Applies To | All products, Specific collections, or Specific products |
Buy X Get Y
Additional settings for Buy X Get Y coupons:
Customer Buys | Which products/collections customer must purchase |
Customer Gets | Which products/collections customer receives at discount |
Discount on Y | Percentage off or free for the "Get" items |
Free Shipping
Additional settings for Free Shipping coupons:
Countries | All countries or Specific countries only |
Free Product
Additional settings for Free Product coupons:
Product | Select the specific product customer gets free |
From Collection | Or let customer choose any product from a collection |
Example Coupons
10% Off Orders (100 points)
Click Add Coupon → select Amount Off Orders
Name: "10% Off Your Order"
Points Required: 100
Discount Type: Percentage, Value: 10

$5 Off (50 points)
Click Add Coupon → select Amount Off Orders
Name: "$5 Off"
Points Required: 50
Discount Type: Fixed Amount, Value: 5
Minimum Requirements: Minimum purchase $25

Free Shipping (200 points)
Click Add Coupon → select Free Shipping
Name: "Free Shipping"
Points Required: 200
Countries: All countries (or limit to specific)

Free Sample (500 points)
Click Add Coupon → select Free Product
Name: "Free Sample Product"
Points Required: 500

Tips
Start simple - Begin with 2-3 coupon options, add more based on customer feedback
Tiered values - Offer coupons at different point levels (50, 100, 200, 500 points)
Test redemption - Always test the redemption flow with a sample customer before going live
Monitor analytics - Check which coupons are most popular in the Analytics tab
Troubleshooting
Coupon code not working at checkout?
Verify the coupon is active (check Active Dates). Confirm customer has enough points and meets minimum requirements.
Customer can't see the coupon?
Check Customer Eligibility settings. Make sure the coupon hasn't reached Maximum Uses limit.
Discount not applying to subscription orders?
Check Purchase Type setting - must be set to "Subscription" or "Both".
