Getting started: How do I receive payments made through sunday?

How you get the payments that are captured by sunday

Once your restaurant has completed the required onboarding with checkout.com and your bank account has been verified by their team, your payouts are sent automatically to the verified bank account registered for your restaurant.

You can view your payout details directly from the sunday Dashboard.

When will I receive my payout?

Payout timing depends on your market and payment setup. The standard payout schedule is T+1 business day. This means that funds are generally paid on the next business day. T+1 means the next business day, not necessarily 24 hours later.

Transactions are grouped using a 4:00 AM ET cutoff.

Transactions processed after the cutoff are included in the following batch. Weekends and bank holidays are not counted as business days, so payments processed during those periods are generally paid on the next available banking day.

The exact time when the funds appear in your bank account may also depend on your bank’s processing time.

Where can I check my payouts?

You can check your payout status and details from your sunday Dashboard:

  1. Open the Accounting tab.

  2. Select Payouts.

  3. Review the payout amount, status and expected arrival date.

The Payouts tab is used to track bank transfers over time. It is separate from the End of Service section, which is used for daily operational closing and reconciliation.

What is included in my payout?

Your payout amount may be different from your total sales processed through sunday. The payout is generally calculated as:

Transactions - sunday fees - refunds - applicable adjustments

Tips are handled separately and are not included in the restaurant’s payout.

Refunds, sunday fees and other applicable adjustments can therefore affect the amount transferred to your bank account.

Can payouts be sent to a parent company or another legal entity?
Payouts are normally sent to the verified bank account associated with the onboarded restaurant or legal entity.

If a restaurant wants its payouts to be sent to a bank account belonging to another legal entity, such as a parent company, additional review and supporting documentation may be required. This can include proof of the relationship between the entities, company documents and confirmation of the intended settlement arrangement.

Please contact sunday before completing onboarding if your restaurant uses a centralised bank account for several venues

What happens if I do not receive my payout?

First, check the payout status in Dashboard → Accounting → Payouts.

If the payout is marked as pending, review the expected arrival date and allow for weekends or bank holidays.

If the payout is marked as transferred but the funds have not reached your bank account, contact sunday Support and provide:

  • The restaurant or venue name.

  • The payout date.

  • The payout amount.

  • The payout status shown in the sunday Dashboard.
