How do the approval and booking workflows work on Supertripper?

Understanding how approval and booking workflows are configured on the platform.

Updated over a week ago

On the Supertripper platform, a travel service can be:

  • booked directly, independently, by the traveler or the travel manager

  • subject to an approval and booking workflow, if your company has configured one

According to the specific needs of your company, different types of validation and reservation workflows can be configured on the platform.

👉 Different scenarios can apply depending on the settings configured:

CASE No.1: No approval workflow - Booking made by the traveler

CASE No.2: No approval workflow - Reservation made by the assigned travel manager

CASE No.3: Standard approval workflow

CASE No.4: Strict approval workflow

☝️ Note: this setting is restrictive for the traveler, as it requires systematic approval of their reservation requests. An effective travel policy alone can help control expenses.

CASE No.5: Complex approval workflow - Reservation made by the assigned travel manager

☝️ Note: when a travel manager makes an "out of policy" request and does not have the rights to validate it, the traveler's validation workflow applies: the request is automatically submitted to the traveler's approving manager.
