How to Archive a Case

Archiving cases is done in a few simple steps. This can be done one by one through the main case view, or in bulk through the Supio case list screen.

Single Case Archive

It is possible to archive a single case while viewing the case landing page. On the right side of the screen is a case details card which includes an Edit button. This will launch 1 of 2 flows:

  1. Update Case

  2. Archive Case

Selecting Archive Case will display a new screen which allows the user to input the Archive Reason, and optional Settlement or Verdict Amount, if applicable.

The available archive reasons are:

  1. Settled

  2. Trial Verdict

  3. Referred

  4. Inactive

  5. Other

Users can leave an optional note to indicate any necessary information, which will then be displayed on the case details screen.

Bulk Case Archive

For those who have many cases they want to archive at once, it is also possible to do this in bulk from the main Supio case view.

As part of this feature, a multi-select has been added to the case list. Select the desired cases, and then click on the “Archive Cases” button which appears at the top of the case list.

Once confirmed, the archived cases will be removed from the main case list and into the Archived tab.

Note: it is not possible to provide an archive reason when archiving cases in bulk, but it is always possible to add one after the fact in the Archived case view.

Archived Cases

When viewing an archived case, the status is displayed as part of the case name, making it obvious when the case is not active.

Archived cases do not support the following functionality:

  • Adding additional documents

  • Automatic file sync (for connectors)

  • Requesting or completion of pending verified deliverables

If you wish to resume standard functionality, you will need to unarchive the case first, which can be done at any time.

It is possible however to chat against your case when it is archived.

Archived Case View

A new section for cases which have been archived has been added to the main Supio view. In this other tab, you can review archived cases, and add or update archive reasons at any time. This view allows you to sort or filter by Archive Reason or Amounts in addition to all the other case fields.

It is also possible to bulk unarchive cases in case an error was made, or you simply want to reopen the case and move it back to the active case list.

Unarchiving Cases

Unarchiving a case can be done in 3 ways:

  1. In bulk by selecting the cases in the Archived View

  2. From the Case Details card on the main case landing page

  3. From inside the Update Case flow
