User Roles & Permissions in Supio

Understanding Admins, Members, and Viewers

Overview

Supio uses role-based access to make sure each member of your team has the right level of access for their needs. When you invite someone to your Supio account, you’ll assign them one of three roles: Admin, Member, or Viewer.

Each role determines what a user can see and do within Supio — from managing account settings to viewing and creating cases.

The Three Roles

Admin

Full access to all settings, cases, and account management.

  • View and create all cases

  • Access and manage all account settings

  • Set up and manage integrations

  • Invite team members and assign roles

  • Manage billing and account details

  • Assign case team members and support staff

Member

Standard access for day-to-day case work, with limited settings access.

  • View and create cases

  • Assign and manage case team members

  • Access general setings

  • No access to integrations or billing

Viewer

Read-only access — ideal for attorneys or stakeholders who need to review cases but not make changes

  • View cases only

  • Cannot create or edit cases

Admins are typically firm administrators, office managers, or anyone responsible for managing the Supio account. We recommend limiting Admin access to only those who need it.

Who should be a Member?

Members are the everyday users of Supio — paralegals, case managers, and support staff who need to create and work on cases but don’t need access to account-level settings.

Who should be a Viewer?

Viewers are ideal for attorneys or other stakeholders who need to review case information but don’t need to create or edit anything within Supio.

Can I change a user’s role after they’ve been invited?

Yes! Roles can be updated at any time by an Admin from the team settings page.
