Supio Notifications

Receive notifications about cases in-app or via email

Updated over 4 months ago

With notifications, users can now choose to be notified either in-app or via email for a variety of Supio features, so you never miss an update on any cases you are working on. When the feature launches everyone will receive the first notification, which will point you to your new preferences.

Setting Up Your Preferences

Choosing your notification preferences

  • Your Notification Preferences are accessible via your user settings. These can be accessed by clicking on your avatar in the top right of Supio > Clicking on the gear icon > and then clicking on Notifications under Preferences

  • There you will choose which notifications you want to be notified of, and by what method

    • Selecting email will result in your Supio registered email address receiving notification emails

    • Selecting in-app will result in your notification bell and panel lighting up when new notifications come through

    • You can always choose both, or neither

  • In order to make a determination, consider what the essential updates are for your particular role

Which cases will I be notified for?

  • The best way to ensure that you will receive a notification about a particular case is to create a Case Team Assignment for yourself, this will allow you to receive every type of notification so long as you opt in via preferences

  • For the Case Update & Case Complete notifications, if you are using Teams and have opted in to the existing setting, you will continue to receive those and can also opt in to the in-app notification

  • If you are using Teams, any time you create a case assignment for a case, you will automatically be subscribed to the case for the email notifications, so there should be no gap

  • File Upload and New Assignments notifications are only available through the Case Team feature.

Types of Notifications available today:

  1. Case Complete

    1. For both Instant and verified timeline medical chronologies, as well as cases with case economics, this notification will alert you when your case has completed processing

  2. Case Update

    1. Whenever new files have finished processing and there is new data available in your medical chronologies or case economic ledgers

  3. New Files Added

    1. Alert for any new files added to your case, by either a user or an integration.

  4. Case Team Assignments

    1. Alert for when you have been added to a case via the Case Team Assignments feature

We will be continually expanding the notification types as we develop new features or refine the experience for existing ones.

In-App Experience

You will notice a new bell icon in the top right corner of Supio as part of this upgrade. This is where your notifications will reside. Each time a new notification comes in, the bell will update with a red icon indicating that there is a new notification to review.

The panel itself contains 3 tabs, for All, Unread, and Read notifications respectively.

As you review and click on notifications, those will be marked as Read and decrease the number in the red circle since only Unread notifications will contribute to that count.

You also have the option to mark all as read if you want to clear all of your notifications.

Each notification contains the case name that it pertains to, as well as a description of the update. Clicking on the card will navigate you to the case in question, to review the update.

Emailed Notifications

If you have opted into the email version of a particular notification, you will receive a Supio branded email with a short message and subject line indicating the type of notification. These will be sent to the email address associated with your Supio user.

In the email body is a link that you can follow to get to the particular Supio case that the notification is about.

If you wish, you may like to create a specific folder or routing for these emails to keep them organized. It is always possible to change your user preferences at any time.

Below is an example of the new email notification templates:
