When a person or company isn’t found in Surfe's database, you’ll now see an updated empty state in the Side Panel instead of a dead end.
This means the profile isn’t available in our database yet — but you still have multiple ways to continue working directly from LinkedIn.
Here’s what happens now:
Surfe first checks your CRM using the LinkedIn URL to avoid duplicates
You can then click Find details, which triggers a search through external providers
If a valid match is found, the data is displayed directly in the Side Panel and can be synced to your CRM
If no valid response is returned, Surfe displays a manual form pre-loaded with the mandatory fields required by your connected CRM
Fill in the available details in the form
Click to push the record to your CRM
This setup is also fully compliant with LinkedIn’s policies, which is why we rely on our own database instead of scraping profiles.
