How Surfe identifies companies in the CRM?

Surfe primarily uses the LinkedIn ID as the key identifier for companies within the CRM.

We encourage you to ensure your LinkedIn URLs are accurately mapped in your Surfe Dashboards->Fields Mapping, read more on how to do that here.

In cases where a LinkedIn URL is unavailable, we turn to the company's domain as a secondary identifier. If both the LinkedIn URL and the domain are absent, we conduct an exact name search to pinpoint the company. Should these identifiers not match with the information on LinkedIn, or if they are altogether missing, Surfe will create a new company entity in the CRM.

Important Note: When a company is added to the CRM via Surfe, we assign a LinkedIn ID as a special identifier. This unique ID remains constant, safeguarding against any issues that might arise from companies changing their names in the future.
