An Engineering Change Order (ECO) request or design life cycle event may require you to change a project name or project description. Use the Xpedition Viewer application to select and then edit a project name and (optionally) the project description and tile image.

Note: The files and ancillary files and folders within the selected project are retained.

Restrictions and Limitations

  • You must be the project owner or have an Administrator role assignment (see User Roles).

  • Do not use a project name that currently exists in your collaboration workspace.

  • The updated project name must not contain unsupported alphanumeric characters and not exceed 256 characters (see Naming Limitations).

Prerequisites

  • You successfully logged in to the Xpedition Viewer application.

  • The Projects page displays the project names you created in the application interface (see Creating a Project).

Procedure

  1. In the Global bar, click Projects to open the Projects page.

  2. Select the project that you want to edit and then click Edit Project.

  3. In the Edit Project dialog box:

    1. Type the revised project name.

    2. (Optional) Update the project description text and remove or replace the cover image associated with the project (see Managing the Project Tile Cover Image).

    3. Click Done.

Note: To cancel the operation, click Close in the dialog box.

Results

The updated project name and description displays first in the Projects list (Table view and Tile view). The tile image reflects any changes you made during the project editing process.
